THERMOMAX® UNIVERSAL 20
THERMOMAX® UNIVERSAL 20 is a cement-based, polymer-modified mineral decorative render. It is applied as the finish coat in external thermal insulation composite systems (ETICS); it produces a decorative grooved texture of directional grooves with a 2.0 mm grain size, protects the system against external influences and gives the façade a natural appearance.
It is a component of external thermal insulation composite systems (ETICS). System performance is assessed under EAD 040083-00-0404 (ETAG 004). Product performance has been determined in accordance with test methods EN 1015-11, EN 13497, EN 1062-3 and EN 1015-19.
Fields of Application
• As the decorative finish coat in external thermal insulation composite systems (ETICS)
• Over EPS, XPS and mineral wool boards rendered with THERMOMAX® PLAST 65
• On well-finished base render, thin render, concrete and aerated concrete surfaces
• For renovating sound surfaces previously painted with silicate or acrylic paints
• For interior and exterior use on vertical surfaces
Advantages
• Its cement-based composition gives high water vapour permeability, preventing moisture build-up in thermal insulation systems
• Weather-resistant and water-repellent
• The uniform grain distribution produces an even, repeatable grooved texture across the façade
• Conceals minor surface defects
• Provides high adhesion to the substrate; does not crack or flake
• Easy to apply and to texture
• Can be painted in any colour
• Non-combustible material
