IZOMAX® Band W
IZOMAX® Band W is a sealing tape produced by coating a modified polyester knitted fabric carrier with thermoplastic elastomer (TPE). It has high elongation in the transverse direction and is dimensionally stable lengthwise; this structure allows the tape to accommodate joint movement while being installed without tension along its length.
Fields of Application
• Interior wet areas with medium to high exposure to non-pressurised water (classes W2-I and W3-I according to DIN 18534) — domestic bathrooms, public shower rooms
• Wall-to-floor junctions and inside/outside corner details
• Movement joints beneath ceramic and natural stone coverings
• Transition joints between different materials
• Concrete, screed, cement-based render, gypsum board and aerated concrete substrates
Advantages
• Accommodates joint movement with 120% transverse elongation
• Dimensionally stable lengthwise; installed without tension
• At only 0.54 mm thick, it does not raise the covering level
• Can be folded; adapts to corner and fillet details
