IZOMAX® STB PVC-AK
IZOMAX® STB PVC-AK is a flexible waterstop based on modified PVC with a thin cross-section, installed within the concrete section and developed for construction (cold) joints in reinforced concrete structures exposed to low water pressure. With widths of 20–24 cm and a thickness of 4 mm, it is preferred in projects seeking an economical solution. Because of its thin cross-section, it must be fixed well to the reinforcement so that it does not fold inside the concrete.
Areas of Application
• Building basements and underground car parks
• Retaining walls and ground-bearing slabs
• Wall-to-foundation connection joints exposed to low water pressure
• Irrigation canals and small-scale water structures
• Construction joints in culverts and service galleries
Advantages
• Provides an economical solution in low water pressure applications
• Easy to transport and install thanks to its light construction
• Its wide surface lengthens the water path
• Can be welded easily and homogeneously on site with heating-element (hot plate) welding equipment
• Produced from high-quality modified PVC for a long service life
• Resistant to ageing, alkaline environments and natural groundwater
• Forms a continuous sealing system with T, L and X junction pieces
