IZOMAX® STB PVC-B
IZOMAX® STB PVC-B is a flexible waterstop based on modified PVC, installed within the concrete section to seal construction (cold) joints in reinforced concrete structures. It seals by lengthening the path the water must travel along the interface between successive concrete pours. With cross-sections from 15–25 cm in width and 5–8 mm in thickness, it is used in full and partial contraction joints exposed to medium and high water pressure.
Areas of Application
• Raft-foundation-to-wall connection joints
• Successive pour joints in walls
• Construction joints in water tanks, reservoirs and treatment plants
• Basements and underground car parks
• Cold joints in swimming pools and water structures
Advantages
• Suitable for high water pressure with its thicker cross-sections
• Anchoring ribs key the waterstop into the concrete and prevent pull-out
• Increases watertightness by lengthening the water path
• Can be welded easily and homogeneously on site with heating-element (hot plate) welding equipment
• Produced from high-quality modified PVC for a long service life
• Resistant to ageing, alkaline environments and natural groundwater
• Forms a continuous sealing system with T, L and X junction pieces
