Application of ceramic tiles on painted surfaces

Surface preparation

Care must be taken to ensure that the application area is durable, dry, clean, dust-free and suitable for the next steps. Before applications on painted surfaces, the suitability of the surface should be checked, the blistered or cracked parts should be scratched until you reach a healthy surface. To increase the adhesion strength on painted surfaces, the surface should be etched. In order to increase adhesion, KONTAKT ASTAR material should be used.

Application of ceramic tiles and joint filling

In small-sized ceramic tile applications, C1 class CERAMAX® adhesives according to EN12004-1 standard should be used, and in medium and large-sized ceramic tile applications, high-performance C2 class CERAMAX® products with increased additional features should be used. For long-lasting joint filler FUGAMAX® FLEX should be used which is silicone-based, flexible, and antibacterial.
