THERMOMAX® BOND 40

THERMOMAX® BOND 40 is a cement-based, polymer-modified board adhesive for external thermal insulation composite systems (ETICS). It is used to bond expanded polystyrene (EPS), extruded polystyrene (XPS) and mineral wool insulation boards to mineral substrates such as concrete, render, brick and aerated concrete.
It is a component of external thermal insulation composite systems (ETICS). System performance is assessed under EAD 040083-00-0404 (ETAG 004). Product performance has been determined in accordance with test methods EN 1542, EN 13494 and EN 1015-19.

Fields of Application
•    Bonding of insulation boards in external thermal insulation composite systems (ETICS)
•    Internal wall insulation applications
•    Basement and garage ceiling insulation applications
•    Bonding of EPS, XPS and mineral wool boards to mineral substrates

Advantages
•    Provides high bond strength to EPS, XPS and mineral wool boards
•    Elastic thanks to its polymer content; accommodates thermal movement
•    Highly permeable to water vapour; does not prevent the wall from breathing
•    Suitable for interior and exterior use
•    Easy to prepare and apply; does not slip
•    Resistant to freeze-thaw cycles
